The Nevado Sajama is the highest mountain in Bolivia. The volcano rises to 6542 m near the Chilean border. It is a Stratovolcano. Its name comes from the Aymara word meaning chak Xana west. Not only is it the highest in the country, but it also hosts the highest forest in the world, called Bosque de las Queñuas.
